Oil pulling is an ancient practice that involves swishing oil in your mouth to remove bacteria and promote oral hygiene. This practice originates from Ayurveda, the holistic system of medicine from India, as part of their natural healing practices. It works by “pulling" bacteria and toxins from the mouth. Several studies have shown that oil pulling could help reduce the number of harmful bacteria in the mouth thereby helping to reduce bad breath, prevent cavities and whiten teeth among other health benefits. We have added essential oils of tea tree, clove and peppermint which are all believed to have incredible healing benefits for mouth sores, infections, cold sores and toothaches. Use our Healing Pulling Oil daily until mouth sores are relieved and then return to using our Daily Pulling Oil.

How To Use:

Use daily for any mouth sores until relief is found and then return to using our Daily Pulling Oil. First thing in the morning, before eating or drinking anything, swish 1 teaspoon of Pulling Oil in your mouth for 5–20 minutes, being careful not to swallow any. Be sure to spit the oil into a trash can once you're done. (Avoid spitting it into the sink or toilet, as this can cause a buildup of oil, which may lead to clogging.) Rinse your mouth well with salt water. Feel the fresh!

FAQs

What makes OliveSpa products different from other skincare brands?

OliveSpa products are handcrafted in small batches using extra virgin olive oil cold-pressed at our family’s Queen Creek Olive Mill. We pair this antioxidant-rich base with unrefined, plant-based ingredients (no fillers, parabens, or synthetic fragrances) to create clean, effective skincare that’s gentle enough for sensitive skin.

Why use olive oil for skincare?

Extra virgin olive oil is rich in antioxidants, vitamins A, D, E, and K, and healthy fatty acids that nourish, protect, and restore skin. It helps lock in moisture, supports skin barrier function, and soothes dryness without clogging pores.

Are OliveSpa products safe for sensitive skin?

Yes. All formulas are made without harsh chemicals, parabens, sulfates, silicones, or synthetic fragrances. They’re dermatologist-tested for gentleness and are safe for most sensitive skin types, including eczema-prone skin.

Are your products vegan and cruelty-free?

All OliveSpa products are cruelty-free and never tested on animals. Many of our products are vegan, but some contain natural beeswax. Each product page includes a full ingredient list so you can make the best choice for you.

How should I store my OliveSpa products?

Keep products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve freshness and potency. Because we use minimal preservatives, storing them properly will extend their shelf life.

How long will my product last?

Most products have a shelf life of 12–18 months unopened, and 6–12 months after opening. For best results, use within the timeframe indicated on the packaging.

Can I return or exchange a product?

We accept returns of unused, unopened products within 30 days of purchase. Please see our Returns Policy for full details.

Are the scents in your products natural?

Yes. Our scents come from pure essential oils and natural botanicals, never synthetic fragrance oils.

Can I use OliveSpa products during pregnancy or on my baby?

Many of our products are safe for use during pregnancy and on babies, especially our Baby collection. However, always check the ingredient list and consult your healthcare provider for personalized advice.
