When it comes down to choosing what to smother all over the largest organ of your body, you want to choose wisely.
Our body oils are made with simple ingredients, free of preservatives, and naturally scented with essential oils.
Maybe you're hesitant because of the thought of rubbing an oil all over your body has you thinking you'll be feeling greasy all day, or that you'll 'break out' - well, both are not true! Here's my take on how to best apply oil to your skin for long lasting smoothness...
HOW TO APPLY BODY OIL
It's best to apply the body oil to your skin right as you hop out of the shower - skin still wet and hot! Follow these 3 simple steps and your skin will be envious in no time...
1) Pat yourself down with a towel, but be sure to leave some water droplets on the skin. (These water droplets will absorb into your pores as you begin to massage the oil into the skin.)
2) Pump a nickel-sized puddle of oil in the palm, rubbing palms together and then rubbing into the skin - usually that amount will cover about 1-2 limbs.
3) Continue pumping and rubbing until all desired areas are moisturized.
This application method will leave your skin smooth and hydrated, without feeling oily, all day long. I encourage you to take your time when massaging the oil into your skin - it should be a relaxing, enjoyable experience. Also, a last thought to consider... Oily skin occurs when our natural oils are stripped from our skin. This is typically caused by soaps, body washes, or lotions that contain harsh chemicals. Our bodies produce oil in excess to make up for the lack of oils present on the skin resulting in oily or greasy looking and feeling skin. If you have super oily skin, you may want to consider switching to a body oil.
