1. It is made with only natural ingredients
At Olivespa, we make all of our soaps with all natural ingredients. Our shave soap included! We make a traditional-style castile soap, meaning we use sodium hydroxide, water and a natural fat (in our shave soap's case, we use olive oil, coconut oil, and shea butter). Then we add our blend of essential oils to scent the soap, again, all natural. Being an all-natural product, our shave soap contains absolutely no fillers, no synthetic fragrances, no parabens, no silicones, no sulfates (!!), no mineral oil or petroleum based ingredients, no phthalates... the list goes on. The point is, we only use ingredients that come from nature.
2. It is easy to use
We make our shave soap super user-friendly, all you need it a shave brush and a razor, and then you are ready to go! Our shave soap uses the tin it is cold in to form its shape from the beginning. When we first make our shave soap mixture, we pour it directly into these tins, then we allow them to cure for 8 weeks in these tins, and after that, they make their way to our retail floor to be sold in the user friendly packaging.
3. It is moisturizing
Our castile soap recipe is naturally moisturizing. This soap deeply cleanses, but also never strips the skin of its natural oils. The fats used in our shave soap making process, olive oil, coconut oil and shea butter, are also all very hydrating and nourishing to the skin.
4. Has a thick lather
Because we use shea butter and coconut oil, two saturated fats, our shave soap has the ability to really lather up! These two fats allow for a nice, thick lather to further protect the skin from classic shaving mishaps like razor burn, nicks and cuts. This lather makes for a smooth, clean and perfect shave.
5. It is sustainable
Like we mentioned above, our shave soap is all-natural! So we are using only ingredients from nature, which means our soap is biodegradable! And not only is the contents of the inside of our packaging biodegradable, we use a steel tin and lid that is 100% recyclable once you've used up the shave soap. YAY for sustainability.
6. It smells DIVINE
We may be biased because we created this smell, but wow, have we made a divine scent! We created this blend from finding the perfect ratio of some of our all time favorite essential oils to bring you a woodsy, lightly citrusy and manly scent, that lingers once the shaving process is complete.
