Bakuchi oil is oil that is extracted from the Babchi plant. Babchi is an Ayurvedic plant that has been used in India for centuries. The reason you should care about bakuchi oil however (other than it’s many ayurvedic uses) is because of it’s bakuchiol content. Bakuchi oil has a bakuchiol content of about 9-10%.
What’s the difference between bakuchi oil and bakuchiol?
Bakuchi oil has recently become well known for its natural retinol capabilities on the skin. The reason it has those capabilities is because it contains the chemical component.. bakuchiol. Bakuchiol is the perfect ingredient for those with sensitive skin who are unable to tolerate prescription grade retinol such as tretinoin. A 2019 study found no difference between bakuchiol and prescription grade retinol in the treatment of fine lines and wrinkles.
Bakuchiol is gentle enough on the skin to be able to use every night and see great results.
